Meet the Team/ Our Goals



Melissa Beadsworth, Katie Cumming , Mark Mayes and Nick Charles are running the New York Marathon this year in support of this fantastic charity. We are going to be putting in the training miles over the next 18 weeks to ensure we finish as a team . Mark (Enjoy Fitness Studio) has formulated the training plan and you will see us pounding the pavements each week. Please wave or toot if you see us...we need the encouragement. But nothing will encourage us more than if we raise money for this charity.

 - bring all the loose change sitting on the side at home and help us make a difference.

  1. July 2nd 2018. Training run #1 completed. Melissa, Nick and Katie all teamed up and ran 6miles in hot temperatures. I was in Taunton, but still managed to match the teams great start to our journey.

  2. July 14th 2018. The girls are in New York sourcing accommodation for the big event. They also managed a cheeky 8mile run along some of the route as well as checking out Brooklyn Bridge, the big incline start!!! They smashed their 8 miles which put me and Nick under a bit of pressure to do the same back in England. In hot conditions, not the preparation we need for November in New York, we completed just under 9miles. More miles in the legs!!

  3. July 21st 2018. Run #3. With the team spread out all over the world today was going to be tough. Nick ran a great run in Chicago 11.3miles in an average of 10mins per mile. Katie was somewhere in Europe running a fast sub-10 mins per mile route, and Melissa and I completed a very hilly 8miles + around Warsash. More miles...sore legs!!
